Peter van Schelven is associated with Cordemeyer & Slager / Advocaten as of counsel.
He has more than thirty years experience in the field of IT law, tenders and alternative dispute resolution. He is a frequently asked and beloved guest speaker and lecturer on seminars, conventions and various training institutes.
Peter has gained a very broad experience as legal counsel of Vomac and Capgemini, as an attorney-at-law at CMS Derks Star Busmann and as legal counsel and interim director of Nederland ICT, an ICT branch of industry organization.
Peter regularly lectures at universities in the Netherlands and abroad among which the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and the post graduate course Informatics at the prestigious Grotius Academie.
Since 2014 Peter is the owner of the legal advice firm ‘BIJ PETER – Wet & Recht’.
Peter frequently writes articles, columns, annotations and commentaries in books and magazines.
He is also author or co-author of various manuals, handbooks and other professional literature in the field of IT law, ADR and tendering.
Peter is member of the supervisory council of Foundation Internet Domain registrations Netherlands (SIDN), member of the Appeals Tribunal of Foundation Examenkamer, member of the management board of Foundation IT Conlict Management (Stichting Geschillenoplossing Automatisering (SGOA)) and columnist of iBestuur.
